Eaten really delicious for two. Grilled specialties (tuna, RibEye steak, Iberico). As a starter, squid salad. Make a reservation in advance! The way to the Söller was definitely worth it, even if the dishes on offer have their price. Super friendly operation. Gladly again!

Ambience succeeded - the rest a disaster I have visited the "Marcook" 3 times now, for various reasons. And every time I was left a little baffled to very disappointed. The first visit was on a bike tour with my children. We knew there was a restaurant on site and headed for the "Marcook" on a warm day. When I got there I was told that you can't get a table without a reservation, and you can't expect anything to eat. When asked (if it was afternoon) that the children could get something to drink and maybe a scoop of ice cream would be possible, I was narrowly opposed - but clearly that children were "not really wanted" anyway and you couldn't do that. I still got drinks, though reluctantly. The next time I visited a larger group (this time with a reservation) I was charged a mere 16 € for a simple grilled vegetable skewer and a handful of rosemary potatoes. Supposed quality or not - for a skewer consisting of onions, 2 tomatoes, some peppers and 2 mushrooms, this is exorbitant and is out of all proportion. Needless to say that the portion was "slightly" calculated. Although I had vowed never to set foot there again as long as the restaurant was run, there was a third visit - again as part of a larger group. We had registered the food beforehand and selected the dishes, because spontaneously nothing works here. So two weeks before I chose what I would like to do that evening. There were no chips for the children, "something" is not done there. We should also "bring along" ketchup for the sausage (of course not a nasty bratwurst like all children eat, but a fennel bratwurst), you wouldn't offer that. When asked if there was a dessert available for the children - after all, there was two weeks in advance - the answer came, "then there was something" - of course was not the case. Apart from that, despite salted prices (some highly decorated restaurants are not more expensive!) You can sit on rickety chairs, the selection of food and drinks is extremely limited and the inside of the restaurant still exudes the charm of the former club home - the view from the terrace is of course beautiful. Only - this is not an achievement of the restaurant, in which optically and felt no cent was invested. Everything is prepared on the grill next to the house, there is only one service. And with all love - even if the owner gets his fish fresh from the retailer (like almost every restaurant that has something to offer), the way this restaurant is run is simply impossible. It's a shame that you want to give yourself the flair of the "exclusive", because this place would be fantastic for day trippers and spontaneous visits. However, if, according to your own statements, you don't want to be a place for spontaneous visits and definitely don't want to be approached by hikers or cyclists / tourists, your potential guests with the reference to the chalkboard and "there it is, only with reservation!" send from the site - he simply doesn't want it.

The restaurant is quiet in the middle of the forest overlooking a long meadow. No noise from cars or motorcycles. You come to rest. The food is of a high quality, is very fresh and tastes natural. There are rib eye, spanish pork, fish, pulpo, wild herbs salad and other delicacies. It is always grilled. You have to make a reservation. The pictures speak for themselves. Schnitzel with fries are not available here.

Excellent food We were there to third and had sepia and swordfish. The meals were big and of very good quality. Not eaten so well for a long time. The staff consists of the two owners who really love to prove good food. The menu is rather small but well selected. The wine selection left no reason to complain. Real insider tip at the airfield between Rumbach and Nothweiler - also beautiful location in the middle of nature. Not for the small budget, but the quality of the food was absolutely appropriate. We will be back.

We found him again, Mark. And the search was worth it. His love of fish and meat and his expertise on the grill. We are excited. Rounded by the friendly hostess it was a successful evening and conclusion of our short break. We'll meet again next year.

We could relax there after a strenuous bike ride and the food was just outstanding. Everything is freshly prepared and I as a vegetarian got my money. In a nutshell, I can only recommend this restaurant

Absolute insider tip! It was an unforgettable evening and if there were 6 stars, I would have forgiven them too. My best Iberico pig I've ever eaten ... and also the lamb chops were a treat! ... incredibly juicy and medium such a grain. Top! It was not cheap, but worth every penny! And the starry sky ... priceless ;-) We will be back. Icke ;-) 24.3.2019: Also in the new year again suuuuper delicious. It was unforgettable hours again!

The location is a real insider tip: fantastically quiet. The food is high quality, which is unfortunately reflected in the price. Very nice operators who are also happy to respond to special requests. It was worth it to us. Keep it up!
